FAQ

You might be wondering

Do I need any experience?
Not at all. You do not need any previous experience with breathwork or yoga. I’ll explain what you need to know before we begin, and there is always room to slow down, adapt or ask questions.
What if strong emotions come up during breathwork?
Strong emotions can come up. We can slow the breath, come back into the body and stay with what is there. Tears, shaking, laughter or sound can all have space here. Nothing needs to be pushed away, and nothing needs to be held on to.
What if nothing happens?
Then nothing is wrong. There is no particular state you are supposed to reach. Sometimes the experience is simply resting, noticing the body and staying with the breath.
Is breathwork the same as pranayama or Wim Hof?
No, although they all work intentionally with the breath. Pranayama is a broad family of yogic breathing practices, while Wim Hof breathing typically combines repeated deep breaths with structured breath holds. Conscious Connected Breathwork uses a continuous connected rhythm, linking inhale and exhale without a pause, usually over a longer period of time.
Are there any contraindications for breathwork?
Yes. Conscious Connected Breathwork can be physically and emotionally intense and may not be suitable for everyone. Please get in touch before joining if any of the following apply to you: epilepsy or a history of seizures; cardiovascular conditions or uncontrolled high blood pressure; glaucoma or retinal detachment; osteoporosis; recent surgery or acute injury; neurological or spinal conditions; psychosis, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia; recent psychiatric hospitalisation, acute emotional crisis or suicidal thoughts; or pregnancy. If you are unsure about a condition or medication, just write to me beforehand.
What kind of yoga do you teach?
I teach Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin. Whatever the pace, I want the practice to stay rooted in the body, with room to listen, adapt and move in a way that feels right for you. I teach both group and private sessions, and can also combine yoga with pranayama, somatic shaking, free movement or Conscious Connected Breathwork.
How do I find current classes or book a session?
I share current classes and upcoming dates on Instagram @nowreconnect__. For private sessions, partner breathwork, collaborations or anything else, you can simply email me at lilian.nowreconnect@gmail.com. If you are unsure what might fit, just write to me. You do not have to figure it out beforehand.
What language are sessions in?
Sessions can be held in English or German. For group classes, the language usually depends on the setting and the people in the room.
What does it cost, and what if I can’t afford it?
Prices depend on the offering and are shared when you get in touch. If money is what is holding you back, feel free to write to me and we can see what is possible.
Are you available for retreats, workshops or guest teaching?
Yes. I am available for breathwork and yoga classes, workshops, retreats and longer-term collaborations in Nuremberg and internationally. I’m happy to adapt the format to the group, the space and the wider programme.
